"Basket Illusion" : a single piece of carefully selected wood, hand-carved, decorated with my original designs using pyrography, then applying pigments & dyes to give the tactile and visual impression of a woven form. Platters are detailed both sides to create the basket illusion effect. The work is carved thin and made light to further enhance the illusion.
